The Ballard Northwest Senior Center is located in the Northwest Seattle neighborhood of Ballard. We are about a block from the Hiram Chittenden Locks. We are at the intersection of 32nd NW and Market Street.
|Monday||9:00 am – 4:30 pm|
|Tuesday||9:00 am – 4:30 pm|
|Wednesday||9:00 am – 9:00 pm|
|Thursday||9:00 am – 4:30 pm|
|Friday||9:00 am – 4:30 pm|
Please do not park to the east of the Center. We recommend parking in the south parking lot for short term parking. For all day parking please utilize street parking on the streets to the north of the Center or paid parking at the Ballard Locks.
Important: Also, when parking in the south parking lot please do not park in front of the Center Van or the dumpster. It costs us money and staff every time a driver does this and it can stop garbage pickup and delay Center trips.
The following services are useful for arranging transportation to the Center or other appointments. All of these services including Seattle Metro stop directly in front of the Center on 32nd Street.
Seattle Metro Buses
We are on the metro line 44 which stops in front of the Center and includes a full bus stop with benches.
Call Access at (206) 205-5000.
Access is available to those who qualify, and takes you anywhere a Metro bus or Sound Transit light rail goes at that time and on that day of the week.
Volunteer Transportation Program
This service is available through the Volunteer Transportation Program at (206) 448-5740.
A team of over 600 volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to transport and accompany seniors 60 years and older to medical and other essential appointments—offering a ride and a helping hand.
Donations are most appreciated.
To contact the Hyde Shuttle to see what options there are and the coverage areas please call (206) 727-6262.
These shuttles are available through Sound Generations and Metro. Round-trip van transportation to hot lunches, senior centers, grocery shopping, and other local errands for seniors 55 years of age and older and people with disabilities of all ages.
