At this time, some of the fitness classes are still suspended.  Along with our current
limited size in-person classes, we are still offering a few virtual fitness classes. Please check
below to see which classes are currently active. Registration is required for all classes.

Active Classes

♦  DAILY BALANCE (In-Person) Instructor:  Jan
Monday – Friday 10:00 am FREE
Daily Balance is fun and all within just a half hour.  We include elements of laughter yoga, breathing and right-left brain exercises.  Some exercises are standing and some are sitting.  Great way to start your day.  Come and try the class.  You can come for just one day, once a week or, five days a week.

♦ CHAIR YOGA FOR PARKINSON’S Instructor: Leo
Free for Parkinson’s participants – otherwise $5 Member/$10 Non-Member (In-Person & Virtual)
Every Tuesday and Thursday 1:00-1:45 p.m. Build strength and flexibility while seated. Shoes are okay to wear. Wear loose fitting comfortable clothes. Chairs are used for stability and as a balance aid but chair should be sturdy (preferably without arms or wheels).  This class is open to anyone interested!

♦ ENHANCE FITNESS (Virtual) Instructor:  Mattie Taplin  –  $25/MONTH  Free to Kaiser Permanente Members
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays – Starts September 17
Become more active, energized, and empowered through this evidence based fitness program! Build fitness through cardio workouts, including light weight lifting. For all fitness levels.

♦ HEARTFULNESS MEDITATION (Virtual) Instructor:  Kaushik
Fridays 11:00-12:00 noon – FREE
Experience the benefits of Heartfulness meditation through a practical session where you will learn to relax the mind and feel the lightness and joy of your true nature.  You do not need to know how to meditate.

 KAJA’S FITNESS CLASS (Virtual)  Instructor:  Kajsa
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 9:00 – 10:00 am   Cost:  $25/Month 
Keep fit, stay sharp, have fund, meet old & new friends.  Warning:  It’s addictive!

♦ RAINBOW FITNESS – LGBTQ FRIENDLY (Virtual) – From Strive & Uplift Gym
Every Monday & Wednesday 9:30-10:40 am – FREE
Enjoy an inclusive fitness class from our friends Strive & Uplift Gym!  They are dedicated to making a safe and supportive space for all participants!  By Appointment

 MEDICINE DRUM CIRCLE –  $3 Members / $8 Non-Members (In Person)
Every Third Monday 3:00 – 4:00 pm FREE
Drumming in traditional cultures is known to have beneficial health effects.  Join us for drumming for your health.  Drums provided.  No experience needed.

WILLIAM’S WALKING GROUP   Leader – William
Every Wednesday 1:00 – 2:00 pm  FREE
Moderately paced walk around the neighborhood with a congenial group of people.  Limit 5 people.  Call for information:  206-297-0403.

 QIGONG (Chee Gung)
Every Tuesday 9:30am – via West Seattle Senior Center (virtual)
Qi Gong for Health 10:00 -Exercises are known to be effective for improving your immunity & respiratory systems and

QI GONG FITNESS CLASSES (In-Person)  Instructor Terry Leers
Mondays, 1:15-2:15pm – $5 Members / $10 Non-Member
Qi means “energy” and Gong means “to work with” so simply put Qi Gong means working with the body’s energy. The Spring Forest Qi Gong fitness classes have been developed to be easy and beneficial to practitioners. Similar to Tai Chi, Qi Gong focuses on body posture, movement, breathing, and meditation.

OTHER OUTDOOR WALKING GROUPS Leader:  Mark
You need to be pre-screened prior to registering.  Participants must be independent with balance and have a steady gait.  May need medical clearance to participate.  Participants meet outside in front of the Center and walk on the Burke-Gilman Trail. Flat surface and gentle or moderate pace. Rain or Shine!

GENTLE YOGA  
Build strength, balance, and flexibility with traditional yoga poses. Shoes are okay to wear. A yoga mat is required to participate..

Dive into fitness with water aerobics!

Yoga can strengthen your core and increase your flexibility, strength, respiration, energy, and vitality. Yoga mat required.

ZUMBA   ……… $5 Member / $10 Non-Member
Dance and aerobics combined with wonderful music for improved flexibility, coordination, and balance. Dance your way to better fitness. Enjoy more energy in your day to day life.
