MARCH

VOLUNTEER PARK CONSERVATORY AND LUNCH
Wednesday March 9
th, 10:00 a.m. $6.00 plus the cost of your lunch. Leaves at 10:00 a.m.  Have fun going to the Volunteer Park Conservatory a botanical garden, conservatory and landmark in Volunteer Park. 3,246 glass panes fit into a wood and iron frame work. This Victorian style greenhouse is modeled after London’s Crystal Palace. The inside is divided into 5 display houses.   After touring this interesting conservatory have lunch before returning to the Center. 

LUNCH AT IVAR’S SALMON  HOUSE 
 March 28th 11:00 a.m. $4.00. Price does not include  lunch. 
 Ivar’s Salmon House is a beautiful  replica of a Northwest Native American Longhouse, complete with an open-pit Native American-style barbecue for preparing succulent alder-smoked dishes. Here, in a dining setting filled with Northwest native art, décor and historical photographs, you’ll enjoy memorable meals surrounded by spectacular views. 

APRIL

TOUR THE KRAKEN ICEPLEX / LUNCH AT 32 BAR & GRILL
Wednesday April 6th 11:00 a.m.  $4.00. Price does not include lunch.
Check out the Kraken’s new practice facility as well as the public rinks at Kraken Community IcePlex! Public ice skating is available as well as the Kraken store! We will also grab lunch at the official home bar of the Kraken, 32 Bar & Grill!

TULIP FESTIVAL AND LUNCH
Monday April 11
th leave at 9:30 $12.00. Does not include cost of lunch.
This is a favorite trip. See the beautiful tulip fields in their majestic colors, have a delicious lunch at the Farmhouse restaurant and take in the festival sights. A trip not to be missed.  This trip is separate from the Red Hats trip on Thursday April 21st.

MOLBAKS GARDEN CENTER AND LUNCH
Wednesday the 13th leave at 10:30, $8.00. Does not include the cost of lunch
Molbaks is a destination with something for everyone. See the lovely spring plants, find treasures in their fun and interesting shops, and get a glimpse of what’s in store for summer gardens. Then lunch at a great Woodinville restaurant to be chosen closer to trip date when availability due to pandemic is verified.  

MAY

TRIP TO FRYE ART MUSEUM
Thursday May 12th, Leaves at 10:30 a.m. $5.00 per person. Lunch additional
Come with us to the Frye Art Museum as we enjoy their usual collection of paintings and sculptures from the nineteenth century to the present also a current exhibition: Christopher Paul Jordan and Arnaldo James: In the Interim (Ritual Ground for a Future Black Archive). Building upon an ongoing dialogue between two artists of the African diaspora—Christopher Paul Jordan from the United States and Arnaldo James from Trinidad and Tobago—In the Interim explores Black futurity and presents a vision of shared experience across the spatial and temporal dimensions of the diasporic world.  

DUWAMISH LONG HOUSE AND CULTURAL CENTER & LUNCH
Thursday May 26th, leaves at 10:30, $6 per person. Lunch additional
The Duwamish Long House and Cultural Center shows and promotes the social, cultural and economic survival of the aboriginal Duwamish Tribe. The center overlooks the Duwamish River Valley. It’s a chance to see artifacts and interpretative exhibits. This is a don’t miss trip. Lunch restaurant to be selected closer to trip date.

 

IMPORTANT: Trip Sign-up and Payment Policy

  • Sign up for trips at the 2nd Floor Reception Desk or call the Center at
    206-207-0403.
  • When you sign up for a trip you must pay non-refundable trip fee.
  • Final payment is due one week prior to the trip.  If final payment is not made, you forfeit your seat and deposit.
  • If you cancel your reservation less than one week before the trip is to depart, you forfeit your entire payment unless we can fill your space or you are canceling for certified illness.
  • If the trip is canceled, deposits and payments will be refunded.
  • Deposits, payments, and refunds are not exchangeable or interchangeable. Refunds are prepared after the trip date.
  • Masks and proof of vaccination required!

Group Trips

The Center offers a wide variety of diverse and interesting trips to nearby points of interest. The trip sign-up and payment policy concerns safety, insurance, training, and more.  For all Center trips carpooling is not allowed.  Enjoy our all our fun trips.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT HAPPY HOUR, DINNER & BINGO
 Every Wednesday
Happy Hour at 4:30 pm – Dinner at 5:00 pm – Bingo at 6:30 pm

Wednesday Night Happy Hour and Dinner are back again and it’s one of the most favorite activities!  Spend time with some friends over a scrumptious meal then off to Bingo if you’d like!  There is a limit of 25 diners as we ramp back up and still observe safety precautions. Minimum 10 diners. Water and soda $1.00 each; beer and wine $5.00 each.  Wonderful dinners include salad, main course and dessert for $7.00.
