Get Involved and Support Our Work
There are many ways to support the work of the Ballard Northwest Senior Center. We appreciate your help.
To volunteer please call the Center at (206) 297-0403 or fill out the Volunteer Application Form found in the Volunteer section of the website.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our Center. We have many volunteer opportunities available. Training is always provided and appreciation of your service is gratefully given.
Enter Committees
If you are inclined, contact Carlye at (206) 297-0403.
The new structure with Sound Generations provides for opportunities for interested participants to serve on advisory committees. The Center Advisory Board Members and Leaders will work with the committees that provide input about center programs, fundraisers, services, and important aspects of center life. Hope you will get involved. These are great volunteer opportunities.
Teach a Class / Lead An Interest Group
Do you have a special talent or an interesting vocation? Come and share with us, teach a class, give a demonstration, give us a new look on something old, new or interesting. We always want to learn, grow and look at new things.
You do not need to be a Member to enjoy the programs and services of the Ballard NW Senior Center, but joining does have benefits. Not only does joining support the activities of the center, you will also enjoy many benefits including discounts.
Call the Center for additional information at (206) 297-0403.
The Center hold three very successful and award winning Rummage Sales each year and a beautiful Holiday Bazaar in the Winter. We are always looking for gently used items to sell during these events. Our Auction in March is a wonderful event that brings the community together and we are looking for donations of gift certificates and new items.
Every penny counts and you can help! Ballard NW Senior Center benefits from your purchases. We are part of Amazon Smiles, the Bartells Program, and the Ballard Market program.
Monetary donations and sponsorships to help fulfill our mission and operate the center are greatly appreciated. We are a 501c3, non-profit, and the donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Center welcomes and thanks all our sponsors for all the events, big or small.
We are currently holding quite a few events with safety protocols in place: Proof of vaccination + masks.View current events on our Activities and Event Calendar.
Ceramic clay tiles have been hung on our Tile Honor Wall in the Nifty Thrifty Bookstore. You can be part of this everlasting opportunity to honor a person or an event, and support the Center at the same time by purchasing tiles.
