The Ballard NW Senior Center offers many services that have been temporarily suspended because of COVID. We are gradually opening up the Center to more of the in-person services. As we begin to loosen COVID restrictions, some services will remain suspended or restarted with limited capacity to protect our participants. Check each section below for additional details and whether a service, or group, is active.

FOOD AND DINING
Through Food and Dining, we present our morning café, fresh bread & more donations, weekday lunches, birthday lunches, and Wednesday night dinners. Gradually all these will open again. Currently, from Monday through, Thursday we have take-out between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m.
Health Services includes the Enhance Wellness program, Acupuncture Clinic, naturopathic advice and treatment through Bastyr Clinic, Dental Hygiene services, Massage Therapy appointments, and our Wellness Clinic. This section also provides information on a variety of support groups offered at Ballard NW Senior Center. Currently, the Acupuncture Clinic and Enhance Wellness Program is still on hiatus.
COUNSELING AND ASSISTANCE
Counseling and Assistance describes both Assistance Services and Community Resources, including AARP Tax-Aide, financial services, our Job Bank, Meals on Wheels, Neighbor Ties Program, and many others. Check this section to see which programs are currently active.
University of Washington Research Project on Social Isolation The University of Washington is recruiting seniors for a research project on social isolation as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Each participant can earn up to $45 for completing weekly calls/questionnaires for 10 weeks. To participate in the study, you must be: a member of a senior center or resident in a senior living community, English speaking, and able to complete weekly phone calls with the Social Worker. SEA MAR ONSITE SERVICES
Our SEA MAR partners have returned.
Information about Seattle Metro transit, the AARP Driver Safety Program which is offered at various times during the year here at our center, and the transportation options available through Sound Generations are described in our Transportation section.
LEARNING & TECH ASSISTANCE
Use of computer room, help accessing online classes, help with computers or technology or qualifying to borrow a tablet or internet hotspot are described under Learning & Tech Assistance.
